I have no friends. Yeah you heard me correctly, I have no friends. I’m the person youʼve seen dancing by themselves at a gig, I’m the person drinking a flat white alone in your local coffee shop, and yes that too is me sat two rows back at that movie you watched last Tuesday afternoon. Donʼt get me wrong I have acquaintances; people who I talk to once in a while, but nobody I can confide in if Iʼm going through hardship or heartbreak.

Some people may think that's strange, that a person with no friends must have something inherently wrong with them, or that theyʼre socially inept. Nah, thatʼs not the case at all. This is a conscious decision, a conscious decision to no longer accept fair weather friends.

Why you ask? Well in my experience many people don't know what it actually means to be a true friend. There are some people who will only call when it suits them or in a myriad of cases never call at all. They "donʼt have the time" to text back because their “life is so hectic right now” or “life just gets in the way,” but always somehow manage to update their social media every half an hour. Then If they do actually exert themselves there's a time limit because they “have a tonne of stuff to do,” which actually means, "I have to get back to watch [insert series here] on Netflix and update my Tinder profile.” Personally that is not my definition of a friend, and I would rather have no friends at all than tolerate an unhealthy relationship for the sake of having a superficial social appearance.

That aside, I can proudly affirm that I have truly mastered the art of living in self-harmony and this is one apex within the pursuit self-mastery, that in my experience, very few people are ever able to reach, and although it appears that I’m always alone I can confirm that I’m never lonely.

The sort of music that is beyond time. The sort of music that you feel more than you hear. I love the fact that vaporwave/dreampunk projects like these have such extremely evocative aesthetics they directly fill your mind with sensations you didn't know you had. You'd maybe think it relies on that solely, but it's coupled with gorgeous musicianship + intense production ideas. The volume and spaces it creates just pull you in instantly whatever your initial mood was. Still stunning to this day. SUPRAQUENCER
